CONCRETE FLOOR ESTIMATE COSTS

The cost of laying a concrete floor can vary greatly, depending on the size of the property you are intending to carry out work on. The larger the surface area you are going to turn into a new concrete floor, the lower the cost per square metre. This is because if you are working from a bigger plan, the cost will be spread across a larger number of square metres, allowing you to spread the budget over that greater surface area.

HOW MUCH DOES A POLISHED CONCRETE FLOOR COST?

As there is an extra service involved, polished concrete floors cost slightly more than laying a standard concrete floor. A number of factors in determining the price are the same, including the size of the surface area, but most often the cost of installing a polished concrete floor will average at about £150 per square metre.

In order to polish your concrete floor and achieve the glossy, modern shine you have been looking for, we will use a power float. This is a hand-powered machine which uses finishing blades to smooth out the concrete after it has been laid and has set for a short time. The procedure not only gives your floor the aesthetically pleasing design you want, but it will also make your floor more resistant to wear and cracking, as well as keeping it dust-free and easy to maintain

Other Factors Affecting the Price of a Concrete Floor

Additional factors which will determine the price are the addition of a colour if you wish to have coloured concrete in your home or place of business, or the type of finish you are hoping to achieve at the end of it. For instance, the price will also be higher if you are looking to expose the aggregates, as this will require some extra work to achieve.
